This summer I went eye pencil mad. These are more practical than my beloved cream/gel eyeliners when travelling, more handbag friendly easier to apply on the lower lid.

My basic critetia regarding the quality of an eye pencil involve softness and pigmentation, and the shade of course. I hardly ever use them on the waterline and eye pencils don't normally smudge on me so I can't value their performance in these respects.

Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature 3 in 1 eye pencil #01 Brun is one of my favourites. First of all it's a gorgeous shade of deep chocolate brown. Matte but not flat. Applies very evenly, no patches or bald areas. Secondly it's incredibly soft and glides on effortlessly. No tugging or pulling.

It's not the kind of liner which is immovable once it's set. It doesn't set, which is not an issue for me, it doesn't  move as long you don't rub your eyes but on the other hand you have plenty of time to smudge the line if you wish.
