Korean goodies: Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer and Precious Mineral BB Cream review

Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer and Precious Mineral BB Cream

Today I'm going to review the worst product in history and, hopefully, prevent you from spending money on something not worth a single penny. I'm talking here of the Nymph Aura Volumer. This product is supposed to bring instant glow to your face. And it does so. But not in the way you want it. I haven't read the ingredient list but it looks, smells and works exactly like petroleum jelly. First of all the effect is a horribly greasy face and the "glow" comes from the amount of grease on your face. And secondly, even if you're suffering from extremely dry skin and enjoy sporting a kind of oil-on-face look do get a huge jar of petroleum jelly for  less than a buck and you'll get the same effect.

Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit was not that bad altogether but applying it over the Nymph Aura Volumer is a big mistake as anything will melt off such a greasy face. Applied on its own, over Skinfood Peach Sake Serum, which makes my face very dry these days, it gave a very glowy finish. It's definitely not meant for my skin type, but I can imagine this BB cream may feel very comfortable on dry skin types.
The coverage is pretty decent, like most Korean BB Creams it evens out the skin tone and makes imperfections less visible without being too heavy.
The shade looks pinkish on my NW20 skin, and swatches rather dark but adjusts itself nicely on my face. But if you'd like a hint as to what shade it is I'd say it's NW25-30.

To conclude, if you've got dry, pink-toned skin you might consider getting the BB Cream but stay away from the Volumer cause it's a complete waste of money!

  1. I use this BB regularly and it's one of my two most reached for. Also tried the volumes and yeah, not good. Greasy and ew, totally useless..
